A Very Merry Christmas Day!!

We woke up early and drove down to Mom & Dad's Christmas morning to be with the family. We did the traditional line up on the stairs first.
Then we ran to our stockings and opened up presents together. It was so fun to watch the little kids. They're starting to really love Christmas and it's so fun to see them grow up.
Jordan spoiled me and bought me a beautiful diamond ring to wear when I'm at school, because I can't wear my wedding ring with the gloves. I love it!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas, and are so grateful for all our blessings. We went to Jordan's family's house for Lunch, Grandma Memmott's for dinner, and then had Jordan's dad over later that week to play games and spend the night. We are so blessed to both have such great familie's that make everything so much fun. We hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Christmas Eve!!! (My favorite holiday hands down!)

I love Christmas Eve, and this one was so much fun!!! We had the whole family over to mom & dad's and we ate like pigs like always. Then we did lip syncs. It was hilarious! The boys sang "O Holy Night" by Il Divo. Dad and Jordan were exceptional!! I almost peed my pants...twice! Then the girls sang, "It's the most wonderful time of the year" by Cinderella & the Mice. It was a must have for any
party!
We then played a super great game where we dressed McKenzie up like a Christmas tree. The pine cone was definitely the finishing touch.

We ended the evening with the classic "hot tub freeze-a-thon" Jorda
n and Brad were pretty awesome. Jordan did some break dancing in the snow, and dunked his head in the pond, while Brad did flips and push ups in the snow. We even got Megan to do some jumping jacks in the snow. McKenzie, Dad, and I held our own as well. The rest of the family is wimps!! (You heard me!)

Happy Christmas Eve Everyone!

Arizona Trip

Since I don't have a job I had been dreading my christmas break from school because of the boredom I was going to have. So Jules invited me and McKenzie to go to Arizona and spend a week with them and then drive back with them for Christmas. We did, and it was so fun. Of course I didn't take any pictures because I'm a dork, but I should've. It was so fun to play with Brooklynn and Landon, see Jules & Paul's new beautiful home, and pick loads & loads of oranges from the trees.
It was fun to celebrate Christmas wearing flip-flops this year!

Happy One Year Anniversary!!

Jordan and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary on the 15th. Crazy how fast time flies. We celebrated by going out to dinner and to the Jazz game. Jordan gave me this sweet jersey to wear to the game. We had a lot of fun, besides the fact that our car died and we had to buy a new battery after 2 hours trying to fix it in the freezing -100 degree weather we had that day. I love you Jordan! I am so happy to be able to share my life with you!

OPEN WIDE!!!

Jordan was such a sweetheart and came in and let me clean his teeth at school the other day. It was my first time working on a real-live person (besides my fellow students) so it was extra exciting. It was so fun! (And I only made him bleed a little) hehe I'm on my way I guess you could say. Before you know it you'll all be calling me "Hygienist Harrison" (okay, that's a little sick, but funny)

Anyway... here's my little plug. If any of you would like your teeth cleaned (by someone super fabulous mind-you), I would LOVE to do it! I need to start seeing patients weekly starting in January so I'm on the hunt for willing friends and family. It's only $28 for a cleaning. Let me know if you're interested or if you know someone who would be...I know you all just want to help your little Shalyce out.

An Incredible Night for The UTE Fans!!

Dad decided he'd throw a little "Holy- War" party in honor of his hopes that BYU would kill the Utes. But was he ever wrong. Jordan and I were the only Ute fans there, but don't worry, we held our own.
UTES WIN!!!!

Here's some photos of our lovely BYU fans. Adam and Dad look so excited. McKenzie showing her spirit with her lovely blue eyeshadow.

Remembering Grandma

This last weekend marked One year since Grandma passed away. I've been thinking about her and thought I'd just share some memories I have of my wonderful, sweet Grandma John.

Grandma had the most beautiful perfect white hair. I always thought she was the cutest, most "classic" looking grandma ever. I mowed her lawn for lots of years. Even though she was getting old she'd never let me do it alone. She'd always insit on dumping the grass, and when I was younger she'd push me back to the lawn mower in the wheel barrow. When we'd finish the lawn we'd have a glass of Rootbeer together or run across the street to RB's for a candy bar.

Christmas candy... No one makes better Divinity or fudge. Christmas always reminds me of her.

Speaking of candy, I loved snitching a treat from Grandma's candy dish or a Star Crunch (usually a stale one) from the cupboard.

Hugs. Everytime I was with her I got a million hugs. There was never a doubt in my mind that she loved me. Her family was her everything.

Grandma's beautiful yard and garden. Sometimes I find myself singing, "I have a garden, a lovely garden..." now, and everytime I see a pink rose I think of her.

Grandma's testimony. Every card I got from her has her testimony written in it. That is something I treasure more than anything now.

I love you Grandma! I miss you, it's been a long year without you but I know that we'll be together again. I'm grateful for the many memories we shared.

Happy Halloween!!!

This is not an announcement...
This was strictly Jordan's idea of a halloween costume.
He claims he's a pro when it comes to "white trash" since he lived in Atlanta. So... here we are Trash central, and barefoot and pregnant. We couldn't resist the Hot Pocket joke because we love the comedian Jeff Gaffigan. He does this thing about eating Hot Pockets in a trailer, and its hilarious so that's the meaning behind that.
(yet again, Jordan's idea.)

I was a little saddened this Halloween to find out that I am turning into an old woman. When Jordan and I were dating we used to watch scary movies all the time, and we tried to watch one last night for Halloween and I almost cried 20 min. into it. So we turned it off and ended up watching
Seinfeld instead. Ya, I'm lame.

My Cute Family

We love you guys!!

Our Fabulous California Trip

We went to California this summer with my parents and my sister McKenzie. We had so much fun at the beach and at Disneyland and California Adventures. I didn't think I'd ever get Jordan back to Utah. He kept asking me if we could move to California once we got home. I had to tell him that even if we did live there we would still have to work. You can't just play at the ocean all day. So... needless to say, we're still Utahns.

We absolutely LOVED the ocean. We went to practically every beach on the coast!

We rented some boogie boards and had so much fun pretending we knew what to do.
Jordan was actually pretty good at it. I was pretty good at drowning!

Dental Hygiene!

I'm in the Dental Hygiene program at Weber State University. School is fun, but it keeps me super busy. The girl I'm working on is one of my best friends, we totally lucked out to be right next to each other in clinic. So she gets the priviledge of working on my pearly whites!! I thought these pictures would give you guys a look (and a laugh) and what I do at school. (doesn't everyone love the super hot green lab coats. Ow, oww!!)

Shalyce's Birthday

I turned 23 on September 18th, and I was kind of bummed out because of my birthday because I got out of school at noon, and Jordan didn't get home that night till 8pm. So I had a fun day planned full of homework. Then mom called and told me to come over and hang out, and then as soon as I got to her house Jordan texted me "supposively" from school telling me I had to go home to help out our land lord. So I was all ticked off and when I got home Jordan was there with candlelight dinner and this fabulous cake.
My family and Jordan's mom came over for cake and ice cream and it ended up being a wonderful birthday. I laughed so hard about the cake, but Jordan said it's my life now so thats what I had to have, and he is so right.

Yeah! We have a blog!

Julianne requested Jordan and I get a blog going, so I thought, "what the hay?" I have one for my schooling shalycewsu.blogspot.com but its pretty boring and full of school drama so this one will be dedicated to our exciting life!!!
