The Pre- Christmas Festivities

We had such a fun time celebrating Christmas this year. We had a great time with family. Jordan's family decided to give Christmas to a family in their neighborhood instead of exchanging gifts with each other this year. So... we got this Christmas tree and rolled money up and hung it from the branches, but then we realized it wouldn't fit in our car!! So Emily's boyfriend Simon had to hold it out the car window while we drove it through the city to the neighbor's house. It was really fun, and made us all feel the spirit of Christmas a little more.
We also had our annual Christmas candy making party. We made lots of yummy treats, and nothing even burned this time :) Like Mom said, I guess Grandma John was watching over us. I always miss her this time of year.
Our best Christmas gift this year was that Heather and Jacob's beautiful baby girl Emma Rose was born the week before Christmas. She is healthy and as beautiful ever. We're excited to have another perfect niece.
We got to see McKenzie dressed up and as gorgeous as ever for her first date, the Christmas Dance. She is so cute.
We also got to go see the Christmas lights at Temple Square with Jordan's family. The lights are always beautiful.
We also got to go to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert with our friends Casey & Nick this year too. It's always wonderful, and this year was no exception.
And the traditional Christmas Eve Party at Mom and Dad's house... Here McKenzie is looking like one attractive wise men. We ate till we were stuffed, played fun games, acted out the Nativity and finished the night out with the annual Hot Tub party. This year we didn't get any fresh snow, so we opted to stay in the hot tub and not race around in the snow like we usually do since it was so cold and icy. Hopefully new year's will bring us some new snow so we can have our hot tub olympics still.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!!

2 years ago... I married my best friend,
and my life has been endlessly blessed because of it.
I love you Jordan. Thanks for giving me a reason to smile. You truly are my better half.
Also... Happy Birthday Dad!!! Thanks for being sweet and letting us share our big day with you. We love you. (I love this picture. Jordan looks so excited to shove his brand new father-in-laws face in the cake. Priceless...)
Today also marks 7 years since our first date. Here are a few pictures from this "blessed" occasion. Hehe... I think Jordan looks awesome in these pictures. No wonder I fell in love when I was 17. Look at that hair!!!
Life is wonderful when you're married to your best friend!!!

Even Stephen

Okay, so like everyone knows, Jordan & I are OBSESSED with Seinfeld. And if any of you know me, you know that everything that happens in my life I usually relate to a Seinfeld episode. Well, recently Jordan and I have had a case of the "EVEN STEPHENS" as Jerry would put it.

Example #1... About a week ago we got in a little car accident, and we ended up having to pay our lovely $500 deductible. We were feeling a little sad about it being that it's Christmas time and that would probably be a big chunk of our Christmas. Well, yesterday we got a check in the mail from Weber State University for guess how much?!... $500!!! We totally weren't expecting it. It just said student refund on the memo line. See... EVEN STEPHEN

Example #2... Yesterday we decided we'd go see the movie Blindside, we were a little late and bummed we missed a couple of the previews, and then the audio kept going in and out. So we decided to leave and just get a refund and come back another day. Well, we not only got a refund but 2 free tickets to come back again!!! See... EVEN STEPHEN

Example #3... Since we didn't get to see our movie we decided to go to our favorite restaurant Cafe Rio last night. We got up to pay, pulled out our stamp card, and guess what?! FREE MEAL!!! See... EVEN STEPHEN

I know it would be nice to get ahead in life, but hey we're not going to complain. Coming out even is a pretty good place to be. (And for all you Seinfeld buffs out there, no we're not going to test the system by throwing $20 bills out the window just to see if we can come out even by finding another one in our coat pocket.)
