Summer, if you're reading this... please don't end!

We've been trying to enjoy our last few days of Summer, and besides working, here's a little bit of what we've been up to this last month. Our friend Eric works for the Salt Lake BEES, so we've been able to go to a bunch of games this year with him and his wife. It's been really fun getting to hang out with them so much this Summer. (If you're reading this Sara... DON'T MOVE!!!!!!!!)
...Speaking of baseball, our ward started a co-ed softball team that we've been playing in all month. It's actually been really fun. We love our ward, what a blessing.

Me, McKenzie, Kim, and Alyssa all went to Cherry Hill this week, and it was SUPER fun!!! I haven't been to Cherry Hill in a long time, and I forgot how much fun it is. Granted I was the oldest person there without a child, but I still had a blast. It was fun to be with my sisters and my cute little niece. (Love you guys)
One of my best friends from college, Aubrey is moving to Mississippi with her husband in a few weeks. We all went out to dinner to get together one last time before they head out. Aubrey is pregnant with her first baby, and is as cute as ever. We haven't seen each other in way too long so it was really fun to get together again.
We went hiking with our friends Evan & Stacie up Farmington Canyon. They didn't believe me that I knew where I was going, but I totally did, and I lead them right to the waterfall. We had so much fun, even though we went up way too late in the evening and ended up hiking down the canyon in the pitch dark.
In other news... Jordan, me, and McKenzie all registered for a 5K race in September. I've honestly never really ran in my whole life, so we've been training, and I actually really like it. Jordan says he has cravings to run now. I like it, but I don't know about cravings. I'm a little torn though because it takes away from our tennis time. Oh well, it'll be fun to run our first race together. Wish us luck!!
Good thing we've had such a fun summer because it's back to the grind... school starts Monday. Ugh, I have to end my post now cause I'm going to throw up at the thought of it.

Jordan's Triathlon Adventure

Jordan decided he was going to do the Layton Triathlon with his buddy Stan from work. They did it on August 1st and I was so proud of him. He's never really done anything like this before and he did great. He had so much fun that he's already planning on doing the Bountiful one in September. This Triathlon was a relay. Jordan did a 300 Meter swim, 5 mile bike ride, and 1.6 mile run, then he tagged Stan and he did the whole course over again. Their combined time was 1:44:04 Way to go guys!!!

Some of Jordan and Stan's co-workers, Maria & Dawn, supporting "Team FNB!"

I'm so proud of my sweet husband, maybe I'll do the next one with him.

Kenny, Kenny, Kenny!!!

Me and McKenzie are HUGE Kenny Chesney fans. We went to his concert together 2 years ago, and had sooo much fun. So we bought tickets the minute they went on sale this year back in February. McKenzie's been counting down the days since then, so this was a very much anticipated day. Our tickets weren't too awesome, but we didn't care, as long as we could hear Kenny's sweet voice. So right before the concert started, our good friend Chauny called me and said she had two tickets for us right up front by the stage, but to keep it a surprise from Kenz. I was dying, McKenzie was going to flip. I almost couldn't keep it a secret. So we walked up to will call and picked up our "new" tickets. McKenzie just looked confused, as we started walking closer, and closer to the stage until we were right up front. She stopped, looked at me, and said, "who did this?!!!" and started crying. It was PRICELESS!!! I've never seen anyone so excited about something in my whole life. She was freaking out, I seriously thought she was going to throw up or faint, because she was so surprised. It was PERFECT!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH CHAUNY, YOU REALLY MADE OUR NIGHT!!!!
Kenny was so good! We even got to touch him a couple times. McKenzie held it together pretty well :) I'm not sure if she'll ever wash her hand again though.

I told McKenzie to be strong and not to let anyone push her out of the way, she was right up against the stage, and no one was going to get our spots. It was awesome!!!

Wooo! That's all that needs to be said.

Kenny did sound good. The voices you hear are us, sounding like dorks. But hey, we had fun.

Church History Trip June 2-10th

Jordan and I were very fortunate to tag along on the church history trip my parents, and McKenzie were taking this Summer. We had been wanting to go on this trip for a while, but only wanted to go if Dad was coming, so we could have "church historian" with us. We had a great time, we saw so much. The stories make so much more sense now, thanks for giving us this opportunity. We love you!
Fun trip... but a VERY long car ride. Thank goodness for portable DVD players, and SUGAR!!
One of our first stops was Mt. Rushmore. Sadly it was rainy and cold, and the monument was covered in clouds. We were a little bummed out as you can tell from the above picture. But after a few hours the clouds lifted, and we were able to see it. It was really neat.
This is a beautiful lake we fell upon, in Custer National Park. This is where National Treasure 2's City of Gold is filmed. It was so beautiful. We could've spent all day here.
The "Needles" at Custer National Park.

Winter Quarters Temple. We just walked around this one.
Pushing the handcart at Martin's Cove
Liberty Jail. "The Prison Temple" (very neat)
McKenzie & Dad playing pioneer games in Nauvoo
Riding in an oxen pulled covered wagon
Carthage Jail
Joseph Smith's Mansion House
The Beautiful Nauvoo Temple. My favorite part of the trip. This temple is AMAZING!
Our trip was wonderful! Two things I know for sure... Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God, and the pioneers have my respect, love, and honor.

Park City Family Vacation

Every Summer we go to my parent's condo in Park City. This year it was super fun, because the whole family was able to make it up. We had so much fun together. We celebrated birthdays galore (I even included a picture of Jordan with smashed cake on his face for your entertainment), we swam, played softball, shot guns, went on hikes, picked wildflowers and mangaged to step on a snake, and get my neice into stinging needle, shopped, and just had so much fun together. I love my family. They're the best!!

My Princesses!

Introducing... Ashlie Woodward!!!

I became an Aunt again, on July 11th 2009. My sister Camille had their third baby, a beautiful little girl named Ashlie. She's so cute, I already love her so much. It was so cute to see how excited Camille's other little girls were to have another sister. They just love her. They kept telling me, "you've gotta see her Shalyce, she's soooo cute!!" Congrats Camille and Brad!!! We love you!

I love being an Aunt!!
