Trying To Be Crafty

I've been feeling a little crafty lately. A week ago, I thought that I could successfully make an arm band for Jordan to put his cell phone in so he can listen to music while he runs. I spent $6 on materials, and thought I was being super thrifty. But, I didn't get along very well with the sewing machine apparently because it was a complete and utter DISASTER. My Dad and Jordan were there to watch, and were laughing hysterically. I admit, it was really, REALLY bad.
So... I got on the internet that night, and bought him this REAL ARM BAND for a whopping $2.50. (Why when I can get good deals like this, do I even try?) It came in the mail yesterday, and is so much better. When we opened the package Jordan & Dad again had a good laugh at my sewing attempt. I didn't take any pictures of my 1st arm band attempt because I knew everyone would make fun of me. So, use your imagination. I'm sure what I made was worse than anything you can imagine though. Seriously.

After the disaster, I decided to try my hand at painting. This turned out WAY better. I still am embarrassed about the sewing project, but this has to redeem me in some way.

Our Arizona Vacation

We decided to go visit my sister, Julianne and her family in Arizona for my graduation present. We had so much FUN! The weather was FABULOUS, the kids were DARLING, and we didn't want to leave.

Julianne entertained us like crazy. She's such a good host. We went to Scottsdale & walked around the beautiful parks there.

We even rode the train for Landon. "More choo-choo, more choo-choo"
We did a session at the Mesa Temple
We hiked this cool mountain that we called "hole in the rock"

And we tickled and kissed the kids like crazy, cause that's what we do best.

We love you guys, and miss you already!!!
Love, Aunt She-She & Uncle Jordan

Running... A Spectator Sport

Saturday, Jordan and I spent our day RUNNING. Okay, maybe we were just spectators. We went to the Ogden Marathon to see our friends Chauny & Chris, and Dad run the race.
Look at my Dad. He's 62, hurt his back & his foot this season, and still ran 26.2 miles with a smile on his face. All I can say is that...HE IS AMAZING!!!!

After that we drove down to Provo to see Jordan's little sister, Sylvia run in the state highschool track meet. We sat in the sun for a few hours waiting for her to run, but she never did. She got the times mixed up so we missed her. But... we did get a nice sunburn and got to eat at In 'N Out so it wasn't a total loss. So after watching all these incredibly fit people run all day. What did we do? We signed up for two 5Ks. We need to get our butts in gear. We're running the Ogden 5K in June and the Layton 4th of July 5K.
Wish us luck, and maybe you'll see us next year doing the half marathon. (haha)

Look Mom, I'm a Graduate!!

Well it's official. I am a graduate of Weber State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. I honestly never thought I'd say that.
We had a nice graduation banquet for all the Dental Hygiene students and their families at the Timbermine Steakhouse. It was really nice and made me feel special. It was fun to show Jordan and my parents all my friends and teachers I've had the past 2 years.
Pres. Monson was our commencement speaker, and he did such a great job. I felt really honored to have him there at my graduation. These are his ABC's for a new graduate.
A) Have a positive ATTITUDE in all you do
B) BELIEVE in yourself, and what you can achieve
C) Have the COURAGE to overcome the challenges that come your way

My BFF through Dental Hygiene school Staci. We worked at Dr. Morgan's together before school, and it was so fun to have a buddy to go through the program with.
The whole crew. These girls bring more drama and stress than anyone or anything I know. Yet I absolutely love them, and already miss seeing them everyday.
This was our senior picture.
My support group... super model sister, McKenzie
World's best parents
Perfect hubby, Jordan
Camille & Brad's cute family
Kim's family, and Grandma & Dana also came.
My parents gave me this necklace. I had to post a picture of it because I think it's so cute. RDH stands for Registered Dental Hygienist for those of you that were confused. And that's a tooth and a pearl. I think it's so cute.

Boards... that was so last month

Okay, I'm almost done talking about Dental Hygiene, I promise. I just had to announce that I'm completely finished with lame, stressful, expensive, long, killer exams... and I have the papers that say I passed to prove it. Now only 17 more days until Graduation!
I sent out my graduation announcements today. It was my first time making something with my new photoshop program. It was fun, and I think they turned out okay.
I'm so excited to be done, but honestly. I have met some of the greatest girls on earth, and I'm really going to miss seeing them every day. Love you guys!
Last week my sister Camille brought her whole family up from Heber to get their teeth cleaned. It's been so fun to have my family come up and see what I do. They've all been so supportive.

And in other news... Jordan is amazing!!! He got awarded a $5000 scholarship today for Fall and Spring Semesters next year. I'm so proud of him.

WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!

Happiness is...

I am so happy! Life is slowing down a little bit now. My $2000 worth of Dental Hygiene boards are over now, and I feel relieved. I passed my written and clinical Anesthesia tests, and just found out the other day that I not only passed my clinical but got 100% on it!! I have been so blessed. My family has been incredible through all of this. The night before the big week of tests my Mom and Dad threw me a Good Luck St. Patrick's Day Party. It was so cute. We had dinner, and everyone had a paper shamrock that they wrote their best wishes for me on. Alyssa told me that if I'm nice to the leprechaun's I'll pass.

Then everyone had to choose a balloon and pop it. A few lucky people had papers in their balloons that had a special task for them. Kim's said to give me a big good luck smooch! ha! Then McKenzie's said to paint my toenail's Good Luck Green. (It looked more like fungus, but I still kept them painted all week), and my Dad had to give me the top 5 reasons why I was going to pass. His #1 reason was because he himself is brilliant, and I have his genes. It was a really fun night, and really calmed my nerves. Jordan gave me a blessing that night, and I was set.
This is a picture of one of my best friends Charlotte and me after finding out we passed Anesthesia. You can't tell we were excited right?!
Jordan was my saving grace through this week. I had my tests Thursday and Friday, and he took both days off of work to be with me. Thursday he came up to school to be my back up patient for Anesthesia, and then Friday he drove me and my patient to school, and came to be my translator for my Spanish speaking patient Luis, and waited 5 hours for us to be done. I can't tell you how much his Spanish has blessed my life through Hygiene School. I totally have an advantage having him to translate for me and call my patients. I love you Jordan, Thank You! After I passed my Anesthesia test Jordan asked how I wanted to celebrate. I requested the first tennis game of the season. So we went straight out and played, and it felt amazing! Oh how I've missed spring, and have had tennis fever!

Jordan then went out and gave me the gift of relaxation by getting me a massage at Massage Envy. It was great. I've been so spoiled, and so blessed. So 3 tests down, one to go. Hopefully I'll get my results from my 7 hour long written test later this week, and then it's off to the real world I go.
Also... we decided not to go to Disneyland for graduation. Instead we decided to head to sunny Arizona to see these cute kiddos. I'm sooo excited!
Life is good!
