Summer Is Splendid

I love Summer. Here's a few things we've been up to the past few weeks.

THE GIANT SLIP-N-SLIDE
Our neighbor has this giant tarp that we occasionally set up on the hill by our house, we hook up the hoses, drench ourselves in dish soap, and slide down the hill. It's so fun.

Me and Jordan have been playing on a softball team this Summer. I'ts been so fun. Of course he wouldn't pose for a picture, but these are two of my apparently very SHORT friends I play with, and who I actually went to Hygiene school with. (Am I really a giant?!) We're playing in the tournament right now, so maybe I can snag a picture of him later on.
We're obsessed with 5Ks I think. Here we are at the Layton 4th of July Fun Run. I look like I should've taken 1st place. I think I took 400th. But Jordan took 401st place so it's all good.
I finally got my sisters and Mom to check out the "Wood Connection" store that I'm obsessed with. We did these cute crafts together.
I got advanced screening tickets to see Eclipse from my work. I was so happy because I got FIVE tickets so all FIVE of us sisters could go together. It was so fun. The Twilight movies are so much better when the husbands stay home :)

We've also celebrated about a GAZILLION BIRTHDAYS in the past few weeks, and eaten enough cake and Ice cream to last us until next year.
Happy Birthday to... Camille, Alyssa, Jordan, Brooklynn, Mom, Megan, Julianne, Paige, and Ashlie!!!!!
We also went out to breakfast, went swimming, had BBQs, Fireworks, and played a ton with our cute nieces and nephews while Julianne and Paul were here. Summer has been great.

We're Nerds, But It's Okay

If at first you don't succeed... try, try again.

You all saw my crafting failure with the arm band a few weeks ago. So I've decided to take a break from the sewing machine, and stick with something that turns out halfway decent. Here are a few of my most recent crafts.

I did the watermelon one with my mom and sisters. We had such a fun time doing it together, I love coming from a family of all girls!! (Now if only my house were a little bigger. I'm running out of room under my bed to store my decorations. Some people look into to buying a house cause they need more room for babies, I need the room for my decorations. hehe)

Happy 24th Birthday Jordan

Jordan FINALLY turned 24 on June 26th. (I'm 9 months older than him, so I love when we're the same age). We celebrated by riding the Front Runner down to the Gateway and eating at Tucanos for dinner. It was delicious. Jordan absolutely loved it. What guy doesn't love endless meat?!
Friday we went out to dinner at Robintinos with Jordan's whole family. There were like 20 of us. It was really nice to all get together. Then Saturday, Jordan & I played a little tennis, opened presents, and then watched USA lose in the World Cup with our friends Casey & Nick. Sad. (Jordan has become really good friends with one of my best friends from Hygiene school's husbands. It's been so fun to have such good friends where the husbands like to hang out as much as the wives do). Julianne & Paul came down Friday night so we went over to see them Saturday night, and just played with family all night long. He was a happy birthday boy, and a cute one at that.
Happy Birthday Jordan! You are my everything!

Another 5K... but this time in a hospital gown.

Since Me, Jordan, and McKenzie ran our last 5K in September, we've been trying to run a little more. We all got gym passes, and have been trying harder to get into shape. We ran this last 5K that was sponsored by McKay Dee Hospital with Dad. He was so nice to stay with us. I think he's excited to have some runners in the family. We woke up that morning to rain, wind, and freezing temps. And then at the starting line of the race they handed us a hospital gown to wear. Ha!!! Since it was so cold, we wore them and made our way down Harrison Blvd looking like runaway hospital patients. It was Hilarious, and super fun!!! Haha- What a memory.

We are hot, that's all there is to say.

Park City Vacation

I always look forward to the week in Summer when my parents have their time share at the Marriott Hotel in Park City. We went up a week ago, and had so much fun. We celebrated Camille's Birthday and Father's Day. (Love you guys).
One of the highlights for me was taking my nieces Alyssa & Megan on the Alpine Slide for the first time. They were so brave. McKenzie wouldn't even go :) hehe When we were riding the lift up the mountain Alyssa said, "Megan, are you scared? Cause I sure am." It was so cute. They were a little nervous, but ended up having a blast. That is one of my favorite things to do when we're up in Park City (besides eating Apple Pie caramel apples, swimming, and shopping of course). Thanks for yet again, another fun weekend Mom and Dad.

I just had to post this picture of my nephew Ethan. He's just too cute not to share.

A new job, and a new reason to be happy.
