Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Bring on 2010...
we're ready for you, and all the adventures you'll bring our way!!!

Merry Christmas!!!

We had a great Christmas this year. It was our 3rd Christmas together being married. We woke up early (even though apparently 7:30 was not early enough for the John Family), and went over to my parent's house to open presents. Camille's family spent the night, so there was quite a group of us to open presents up together with.
We did the traditional line up on the stairs picture, and then ran to our stockings and enjoyed opening presents together. (Mom was here, she just always insists on taking this picture and not being in it. I love you Mom! Haha also I love how Ashlie's head band is right over her eyes. classic)
Opening our stockings together. Looks like we won't be short on socks this year :)
Mrs. Claus brought Jordan 2 new suits for his new job. And I must say, he looks mighty fine in them :)
Jordan kind of had a sports year. He got all new tennis stuff, plus new raquetball gear. We've already played raquetball twice this year. It's so fun, and makes it so I don't have to hear so much whining about how much he hates winter cause he can't play tennis.
Jordan totally surprised me with diamond earrings!!
My favorite present. My new beautiful pictures of Christ. I LOVE them!!!
We had an absolutely perfect Christmas. It was so fun being with Family. We love each other so much, and are so blessed. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!

The Pre- Christmas Festivities

We had such a fun time celebrating Christmas this year. We had a great time with family. Jordan's family decided to give Christmas to a family in their neighborhood instead of exchanging gifts with each other this year. So... we got this Christmas tree and rolled money up and hung it from the branches, but then we realized it wouldn't fit in our car!! So Emily's boyfriend Simon had to hold it out the car window while we drove it through the city to the neighbor's house. It was really fun, and made us all feel the spirit of Christmas a little more.
We also had our annual Christmas candy making party. We made lots of yummy treats, and nothing even burned this time :) Like Mom said, I guess Grandma John was watching over us. I always miss her this time of year.
Our best Christmas gift this year was that Heather and Jacob's beautiful baby girl Emma Rose was born the week before Christmas. She is healthy and as beautiful ever. We're excited to have another perfect niece.
We got to see McKenzie dressed up and as gorgeous as ever for her first date, the Christmas Dance. She is so cute.
We also got to go see the Christmas lights at Temple Square with Jordan's family. The lights are always beautiful.
We also got to go to the Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert with our friends Casey & Nick this year too. It's always wonderful, and this year was no exception.
And the traditional Christmas Eve Party at Mom and Dad's house... Here McKenzie is looking like one attractive wise men. We ate till we were stuffed, played fun games, acted out the Nativity and finished the night out with the annual Hot Tub party. This year we didn't get any fresh snow, so we opted to stay in the hot tub and not race around in the snow like we usually do since it was so cold and icy. Hopefully new year's will bring us some new snow so we can have our hot tub olympics still.
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!!!

2 years ago... I married my best friend,
and my life has been endlessly blessed because of it.
I love you Jordan. Thanks for giving me a reason to smile. You truly are my better half.
Also... Happy Birthday Dad!!! Thanks for being sweet and letting us share our big day with you. We love you. (I love this picture. Jordan looks so excited to shove his brand new father-in-laws face in the cake. Priceless...)
Today also marks 7 years since our first date. Here are a few pictures from this "blessed" occasion. Hehe... I think Jordan looks awesome in these pictures. No wonder I fell in love when I was 17. Look at that hair!!!
Life is wonderful when you're married to your best friend!!!

Even Stephen

Okay, so like everyone knows, Jordan & I are OBSESSED with Seinfeld. And if any of you know me, you know that everything that happens in my life I usually relate to a Seinfeld episode. Well, recently Jordan and I have had a case of the "EVEN STEPHENS" as Jerry would put it.

Example #1... About a week ago we got in a little car accident, and we ended up having to pay our lovely $500 deductible. We were feeling a little sad about it being that it's Christmas time and that would probably be a big chunk of our Christmas. Well, yesterday we got a check in the mail from Weber State University for guess how much?!... $500!!! We totally weren't expecting it. It just said student refund on the memo line. See... EVEN STEPHEN

Example #2... Yesterday we decided we'd go see the movie Blindside, we were a little late and bummed we missed a couple of the previews, and then the audio kept going in and out. So we decided to leave and just get a refund and come back another day. Well, we not only got a refund but 2 free tickets to come back again!!! See... EVEN STEPHEN

Example #3... Since we didn't get to see our movie we decided to go to our favorite restaurant Cafe Rio last night. We got up to pay, pulled out our stamp card, and guess what?! FREE MEAL!!! See... EVEN STEPHEN

I know it would be nice to get ahead in life, but hey we're not going to complain. Coming out even is a pretty good place to be. (And for all you Seinfeld buffs out there, no we're not going to test the system by throwing $20 bills out the window just to see if we can come out even by finding another one in our coat pocket.)

A Perfect Thanksgiving Holiday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We've been having a great Thanksgiving holiday, even though we got in a little fender bender and have been down to one car all week :( Anyway... here's a few pics from our Thanksgiving. The festivities started out right when Jordan took me to see New Moon opening night. He totally wins the prize for being a wonderful husband. Not only did he come to see a show with me that he absolutley despises but he took me on opening night, because my friend wanted to go for her birthday. Love him!!! I am sooo grateful for my wonderful husband Jordan.
Jordan and Adam playing in what looks like a very INTENSE game of football after Thanksgiving dinner. I was inside holding babies and digesting my turkey.
Speaking of Football Games. Davis High played in the State Championship this year. We went to a couple of games where they played at the University of Utah football field. Jordan's little (not really little he towers over Jordan) brother Spencer, is a senior at Davis, and played in the game. It was fun to see him play, and sit with Kenz and cheer for dear old Davis High school. Sadly they lost in the championship, but we still had fun.
I am very grateful for this girl! I love my little sister McKenzie. She's so stinkin' cute. I am so blessed to have amazing sisters, and wonderful parents.
My cute neice Alyssa and her new little brother Ethan. Ethan is growing so fast, and is as cute as ever. I really missed my other neices and nephews and my sisters this year that spent Thanksgiving in Arizona.
Another reason I have to be grateful. I LOVE HYGIENE SCHOOL!! This is my wonderful class full of girls I absolutely love. I can't believe I graduate in April! (We were making a cookbook thus the cooking supplies and aprons)
Here's a beautiful picture of my wonderful husband. Look at him. Hehe we had fun playing a game of "Bean Ball" with Alyssa after dinner. We all took turns wearing this lovely hat while everyone threw balls at our heads. It was pretty amazing. I'm sure you're all sad you missed out on it. Speaking of Jordan and being grateful, Jordan was just offered a really great job as a financial advisor this week. I am so proud of him. He'll be awesome. We are so blessed.
Here's a video of Dad at his finest in a wild bean ball game. (sorry it's sideways... I couldn't figure it out, and it was too funny to leave off. Also, make sure the sound is up. He's hilarious.)
This is the reason why we are so blessed. We are so grateful to members of this church. We are grateful that the Lord watches over us, and has blessed us with such a wonderful life.

We love you all. Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween Festivities

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
McKenzie & Mom's scary pumpkins- notice Mom's pumpkin has WHITE rabbit teeth. I think she forgot what holiday we were having.
Dad's pumpkin turned out pretty good.
I went to Mom and Dad's house, and look what was outside their house... MY HEADSTONE! So obviously I had to lay down and act dead by it.
So did McKenize. (We're hot)
Jordan and I couldn't bear to be the ugly tourists again, so we decided to be ugly amigos. Quite creative if you ask me. We went to a party at our friend's house in our ward that night, and then went over to Mom and Dad's to watch a movie.
Our Halloween party at school.
I would have to say the" operation man" is my most attractive of the 3 costumes I wore this Halloween. It doesn't get much better than this. (Haha, I wore this costume to work at the bank later this day because they told me everyone was in costume... they weren't. Anyway... none of the customers knew who I was, I just got a LOT of weird looks. One man did take a guess and ask if I was "Bozo the Barbecuing Clown". Close, but no cigar.
